HI FROM GREECE ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท

This week's newsletter is coming to you from a hotel room at the port in Athens, ferry tickets to the Greek island of Amorgos in hand. We leave first thing tomorrow morning, so this one's a quickie.

Our very first international retreat is about to get underway - an incredible group of people who decided to press pause on regular life for a week, to move and swim and eat well and pay attention to themselves for longer than a lunch break allows.

Standing on the edge of the Mediterranean, it's hard not to be reminded how important it is to slow down every once in a while. We spend so much of our lives rushing from one thing to the next that it can feel kind of radical to simply watch the waves, take a deep breath, and remember that the world keeps turning even when we stop for a moment. We'll have so many photos, stories, and probably a few sunburns to report back on once we're home.

Back in New York, we were met with an unwelcome surprise this morning: our Mott Haven studio was broken into overnight. Weโ€™re grateful that no one was hurt, and the space itself is okay. Still, it felt unsettling, because The Pearl has never just been four walls to us. It's where a lot of you come to feel safe and known, and having that violated, even briefly, is hard to shake off. We're working with the police, classes resume as normal tomorrow, and we appreciate your messages already coming in. We'll be back to moving together very soon ๐Ÿ’™

Finally, a scheduling update for our City Island community. After three weekends off for Pilates teacher training (itโ€™s been such a joy to see our trainees soaking it all in!), Saturday classes are back starting August 8. Little Ballet and Ballet Barre are back to their regular times, and we have some new weekend options while Gloria is away in Italy for the summer :)

Updated weekend schedule:

Saturday

Sunday

Whether you're in the Bronx, in Athens, or reading along from wherever you are, thank you for being part of this. We'll see you back home soon, with a little extra sunshine and saltwater in our veins.
