Imagine...For three golden days (and one rainy one!) in October, we escaped to the Hudson Valley, where autumn was in full bloom and the world seemed to move just a little more slowly. Our home was Church des Artistes, a lovingly restored historic church tucked into the heart of Kingston, filled with old-world charm, eclectic treasures, and the kind of beauty that invited us to linger. We spent our mornings immersed in Pilates and mindful movement, our afternoons wandering through the breathtaking landscapes of the Catskills, and our evenings gathered around the table, sharing seasonal meals, good wine, and even better conversation. From the sweeping vistas of Minnewaska to the orchards and rolling hills of the Hudson Valley, the season put on quite a show.
But the real magic lived in the moments between. The quiet pleasure of a slow morning, the warmth of new friendships, the laughter that spilled across the dinner table, and the simple luxury of having nowhere else to be. We moved, explored, rested, and reconnected, both with ourselves and with one another. It was a long weekend devoted to the art of slowing down, savoring the season, and finding beauty in the fleeting things. We arrived as a collection of individuals and left with shared stories, full hearts, and a little piece of autumn to carry home.
