THE PEARL blog
WHY THE PEARL? ⚪️
My grandmother was the human embodiment of grace, dignity, elegance, and strength. She told me as a child that if you cry too much your heart will get soggy and you’ll die. I loved her ferocity and stoicism in the face of adversity, especially so because it was perfectly coupled with true kindness and humility.
Everything I know, I learned FROM HKD
HKD was way more than a justifiable reason to bare our midriffs; it was a force for good. I swear! With every performance ticket sold, we raised funds for charity, leaving a lasting impact on our community while tearing up the dance floor.
HOORAY FOR SPRINGTIME! ... time to GET 👏 IT 👏 TOGETHER 👏
Just as Mother Nature sheds her dirty old parka and bursts forth with vibrant color (Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.), so too do we shed the limitations of the past and embrace the endless possibilities of the present.
THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER…
The world is your oyster… aaaaaannd your membership at The Pearl is it’s pearl 😜

Crab Legs & ChaturangaS 🦀
The familiar black and yellow signs beckoned. “BASE CAMP” they read, pointing to the giant parking lot of Seafood City. I saw the familiar Haddads movie trucks peeking over the fence, the honeywagon in the corner, its sly bathroom doors reading Desi and Lucy.
